SGS Agro Farms is located near Tirunelveli, Tamilnadu, India. It is about 300 Kms from Chennai.  It is a well known farm for the production and supply of farm-fresh vegetables, Amla fruits(Phyllanthus emblica; Euphorbiaceae; Indian Gooseberry), Sapota (Achras Zapota; Chikoo), Teak, Mango, Papaya ( Carica papaya L; Caricaceae), Nelli (Aonla),  Drumsticks, Pathimugam and fodder leaves. All are cultivated using the modern techniques like Fertigation and Drip Irrigation.

It is also engaged in the production and use of vermiwash, vermi compost to encourage organic farming.  Organic manures and worms are sold at reasonable price.

As part of integrated farming, the farm rears a large number of goat, buffalos, cows and other pet animals. It has a big piggery unit and rears a large number of animals belonging to different types such as Duroc, Yorkshire and Landrace.

 

A nursery unit capable of producing excellent quality sapplings of various fruit trees will be ready shortly.
